Check out all the birds from the nation and all over the world. Enjoy up-close encounters with nature and learn all about the species we share the Earth with. Visitors are able to see beautiful penguins, parrots, eagles, and more at the National Aviary. They’re the United States’ only independent indoor nonprofit zoo dedicated to our sky friends. The Aviary is home to over 500 birds encompassing over 150 species, with an emphasis on helping those that are endangered.
