Pierogies are a staple in the yinzer diet. Quintessential to Pittsburgh, the pierogi is as near and dear to our heart as are the bridges and parking chairs. As the food scene continues to grow and diversify, this one traditional dish will always be a local favorite. Whether it’s grandma’s homemade dumplings or a brand new recipe, there is no such thing as a bad pierogi.
Cop Out Pierogies in Etna is “dedicated to carrying on the tradition of the pierogi in Pittsburgh.” They have your classics like potato & cheese and potato & kraut but they also step outside of the pierogi comfort zone. Not all of their crazy ideas were hits but most of them are on the menu to stay! Favorites include Pepperoni Pizza, Buffalo Chicken, and Mac n Cheese. Finish off your meal with any of their dessert ‘rogis…flavors change monthly. Oh and btw, Cop Out’s “version” of a dozen actually includes 14 dumplings and they have GF and vegan options.
