It’s officially June, which means two things: This video will once again be in constant rotation and it’s the start of Pride month! Orlando has a large LGBTQ+ community, so celebrating their essential impact on our city is a must.
Now, full disclosure, Orlando has their yearly Pride parade in October, but that just means we get to celebrate Pride twice every year! With last year being a quarantined bust, it’s time to get out and have fun. Check out some great ways to celebrate Pride in Orlando this year.

Restaurants to Check Out
Island Time
If you’re in the mood for Caribbean favorites with a Southern flair, Island Time is ready to serve! This delicious restaurant started in 2014 as a local wine and beer hangout. In 2019, owner Devon Tillman purchased the location and revamped it into the Caribbean-inspired hot spot that it is today.
Every week expect great specials, “Fish Fry Fridays,” weekend brunch, and consistent drag shows. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 winner Trinity the Tuck is a frequent performer, so get those dollar bills ready! Be sure to check out Island Time during Pride in Orlando (or any other day of the year!)
The Hammered Lamb
Positioned across from Lake Ivanhoe, this restaurant has quickly become a local favorite for their delicious and diverse menu, great bar selection, and whimsical events. From tacos to fried chicken, grilled cheese to “buddha bowls,” there is something for everyone on their daily and brunch menus.
Be sure to stay up-to-date with their tons of events to add a bit of fun to your dining experience. Their calendar is frequently filled with live music, drag brunches, and more. They are also known to give back to the community, specifically to the onePulse Foundation. Grab a bite, drink a beer, and help a great cause!
Hamburger Mary’s
A Pride in Orlando restaurant guide is nothing without a mention of Hamburger Mary’s. While this is a chain, with locations across the country, Hamburger Mary’s is known for becoming a key part of the local queer community, no matter where they are located. Not only can you go for great burgers, you also get to connect with other LGBTQ+ people from around Orlando.
Of course, you can’t go and miss out on their phenomenal line-up of drag performances. Whether it be a musical theater brunch, bingo, or a divine cabaret spectacular, you also know you’ll be getting a serving of great entertainment every visit!
