We couldn’t live without Spotify, but some music just sounds better scratching its way out of record player speakers. The record stores in Orlando are only rivaled by their vintage and antique shops. If you’ve recently gotten into vinyls or already have an impressive collection, we’re here to make record shopping as fun as it can be!
Here are some of the best record stores in Orlando that will have you traveling back in time!
Located in one of the most charming parts of Winter Park is Park Ave CDs, a record store that sells more than just records! Expand your CD collection, browse their bookshelves, or pick up some fun knick-knacks to display.
They keep their record selection full with vinyls both new and old! They are always on top of your favorite artists’ new releases and soundtracks from new movies, but you can find old show-tunes and rock n’ roll classics just the same.
The store is right next to the cutest vintage stores and across the street from East End Market, so you can grab a bite to eat when you’ve shopped enough.
Number two on our list of record stores in Orlando is East West Records, located right on Orange Avenue! They’re one of the oldest independent record stores in Orlando, so they know how to do it right. The store sells both records and CDs, as well as a variety of accessories to make sure you have the best experience when listening to your new vinyls.
Come on a Friday to experience their “New Release Fridays,” or enter one of their concert ticket giveaways on Instagram! They also have a $1 Vinyl section where you’re certain to find some gems.
Over in the Mills50 District sits Remix Record Shop, a wonderful hodge-podge of new and used records of every genre! From Electronic, to Indie Rock, you’re sure to find the vinyl you’ve been searching for tucked between sleeves.
You’ll be browsing for hours under the glow of the twinkle lights strung around the shop, but if you’re more of an online shopper, visit their website to pre-order the newest records coming to the store!
Next on our list of record stores in Orlando is a unique option! Once the location of a delicious donut shop, Uncle Tony’s Donut Shoppe kept the name and started selling vinyls instead of pastries. They specialize in Jazz, Folk, Brazilian, African, and dance music from all around the globe!
Along with vinyls, Tony’s sells accessories for your record player, books, and cassette tapes. Check out their website to view their full catalogue—maybe place on online order!
Retro Records is exactly what its name proclaims: your new favorite stop for retro vinyls! They’re located in the Mills District right next to Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria, so if you’re in the area, grab a matcha milk tea and come expand your music taste! With new and old vinyls at great prices, you’re sure to be coming back again and again.
Now, do you frequent the other stores on this list too much and have no more space for vinyls Triangle Vinyl should be your next stop! They are an independent record store that buys and sells used vinyls. Come with your whole collection or only a few you haven’t gotten that much use out of—either way, the store’s collection is incredibly diverse. They’ll love to take a look at whatever you have to offer, just call (407) 253-0077 to see what their availability looks like.
These next places are not necessarily record stores as much as they are places that sell records. Here you can shop around for home decor, thrift for new clothes, and grab a bite to eat all while looking for some hidden gems.
Adjectives Market – This boutique on Plant Street has the best selection of records in the back of the store. They’ll even place an order for the record of your choice if they don’t have what you’re looking for!
Pammie’s Sammies – Home of the some of the best tomato soup, this music-themed lunch spot has a few records for purchase that double as decor for their restaurant!
The Central Florida Hope Center – Recently refurbished, we promise you won’t leave this thrift store empty handed. From their clothes, to their books, to even their furniture, this store is a thrift-shopper’s dream. And yes, there are crates upon crates of used records. Go crazy!
The Owl’s Attic – This adorable vintage shop has some rare clothing pieces you’ll be spending more money on that you want. Plus, the cutest accessories, stickers, and shoes! Tucked against a wall near an old TV constantly playing 70s and 80s classics are a few shelves of records where you’re sure to find something great.
