Country music star Dylan Scott says his hometown “ain’t got no rooftop bars like they do on Broadway” in his hit ‘Nothing To Do Town.’ Lucky for us, we get to hang out at those exact rooftop bars in Nashville that Scott is referring to!
There is a reason that tens of thousands of people visit Broadway every year, and in the summer, those rooftops become our favorite place to hang. If you venture off of Broadway, you can find some really great rooftop views in the surrounding area that we also love. You really can’t go wrong with any of them, but here are our top rooftop bars in Nashville!
Please check with individual locations before visiting. Different venues are falling under different restrictions during reopening Nashville, and we encourage you to double-check before heading anywhere!
Dierks Whiskey Row – Nashville
This is the highest honky tonk rooftop on Broadway, but we promise it’s worth the climb. They play a great variety of music, the bar can be accessed from all four sides, and there’s plenty of seating outside. There are couches that line the outside of the deck, so it’s the perfect chance to mingle and meet new people.

This bar is like the backbone of Broadway. It sits right on the corner of Lower Broadway with a perfect view of the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium. You also get a view of the entire strip, and the other rooftops of partiers. It has a great atmosphere, and if you get hungry, we highly recommend heading inside for some sushi.

This purple building stands out as soon as you get onto Broadway, and for good reason. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is an iconic downtown venue, with live music always keeping the crowds going. You can step outside without feeling like you’re missing out on the party inside, because the top floor opens right out out onto the roof.

This gorgeous rooftop is open year-round, and each year they adjust their vibe to the season. While they’re known for their igloo setup in the winter, their summer cabanas are just as enticing. The pool is reserved for hotel guests, but the vintage 1956 Scenicruiser bus is open for all patrons to enjoy a drink in. Bobby Hotel isn’t a Broadway rooftop, but it offers a more refined experience while still in the heart of downtown.

L.A. Jackson sits atop the Thompson Hotel in The Gulch and is a local favorite. It is usually teeming with a post-work crowd winding down from a long day, relaxing and enjoying a signature cocktail. This is one of our favorite rooftop bars in Nashville anytime of year, but we especially love drinking out of one of their frosty glasses in the summer. Speaking of summer, if you can snag a spot up here for Fourth of July fireworks, you won’t regret it.
