5 Things to Do for San Antonio Pride Month

Like so many other things this year, San Antonio Pride Month looks a little different this year. However, that isn’t going to stop San Antonio from showing off, waving those rainbow flags, and supporting one another! We have a mix of virtual events and in-person events you can actually attend. Do whatever you are comfortable with, but be sure to show your pride this month!

1. Friday Night Dinner & Show

? Luther’s Cafe

Every Friday night you have an opportunity to head down to Luther’s Cafe and catch one heck of a show! Dena and the cast are dishing up good food, good laughs, and good times. Get down there early to make sure you get good seats and take advantage of some killer drink specials from 9:00-9:30. Yeah, its a short window, but we can make that 30 minutes count when it comes to 75 cent wells!

2. Pride Bigger Than Texas

? Pride San Antonio

Although the usual event in the park won’t be happening this year, the celebration has been turned virtual! Tune in on Facebook Live, and on the Pride San Antonio YouTube channel to see some of your favorite entertainers and community organizers strut their stuff! This event is typically responsible for raising a significant chunk of change for local charities, and their goal for this year is the same. Although we won’t actually be getting out there and showing our support, you can still make donations for eight different causes here in San Antonio.

3. Drag Brunch at Paramour

You know we love a good brunch! On top of Paramour’s excellent food and libation selection, they host one of the best drag shows in town every Sunday. It is currently by reservation only so make sure you get your name on the books! Yummy food, mimosas, and tons of awesome photo ops…yes please!

4. Pride Ride

? Pride San Antonio

This is another great option for anyone who is doing their best to social distance! You can participate by yourself or with a small group of friends if you choose. Just go on your ride anytime by June 13th and then submit your great photos! Yeah, we know this originated in the UK, but that’s the beauty of virtual events! You get to connect with people from all over the world and join together to show off your pride!

5. Drag Me Out of Quarantine

? Drag Me Out of Quarantine

We completely understand why things shut down, events have been cancelled, and we’ve been locked in our houses for months. We want everyone to be safe, but we also understand that some people are ready to get back out there! Come out and spend the night with your favorite queens and celebrate pride in San Antonio! Don’t worry, they are easing back into it, and they will only be selling a limited number of tickets to allow for social distancing.
