If there’s one thing that we can all agree on, it’s that there is nothing quite like a gorgeous sunset. That’s why we wanted to put together a list of 5 beautiful spots to watch the sunset in Atlanta!
There are so many places to grab stunning views of the city as the sun sets in the sky, but we wanted to share our absolute favorites as well as include some tips for going to each sunset spot.
Grab your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, bestie, or family member and head out on an adventure to see the skies turn colors! Here are 5 beautiful spots to watch the sunset in Atlanta.
Piedmont Park is an absolute favorite of ours, and for a good reason! There are views and vantage points from all over the park, and no matter where you decide to set up your blanket, you are almost guaranteed to get a stunning view. The only thing you have to worry about is whether or not the weather conditions will align with your sunset dreams!
We recommend street parking along 10th ST NE, between Park Tavern and Jason’s Deli, and walking over to Lake Clara Meer to get the best view of the skyline. Not to mention, the parking on 10th street is also free! With the colors of the sky illuminating the skyline as well as the reflection of the city skyline over the lake, you are set to capture the perfect picture or moment. This is a great spot to watch the sunset in Atlanta.

This next spot we recommend to watch the sunset in Atlanta is a staple for any Atlanta resident or visitor! The Jackson Street Bridge is sure to give you stunning views of the city, and is the perfect photo opp. Wait for the sun to set over the skyline, and you will feel like a professional photographer with the insanely great quality photos that you can get from this spot.
Located in downtown Atlanta, we have found that the easiest way to grab this iconic location’s photo, is by parking in lot near the Martin Luther King park and walking over! It is also FREE to park there. The Martin Luther King Historical Park is also an awesome place to check out in Atlanta and we highly recommend visiting it before you get your sunset pic for the gram.

? The Roof at Ponce City Market
You may have visited the iconic Ponce City Market, but have you checked out The Roof at Ponce City Market?! There are a couple bars upstairs, as well as a restaurant and a whole park to enjoy with crazy, beautiful skyline views of Atlanta. Just head to Ponce City Market, and ride up the elevator to Skyline Park.
Parking is not too expensive, and it is only $10 for adults and $7 for kids to enter Skyline Park! This is a great spot if you want to enjoy the sunset as well as have a little fun while you’re at it. It’s a great spot to also bring the kiddos! The games aren’t too expensive and they include mini golf, a swing, and many fair type games. It is unlimited gameplay for kids and adults for $15 each.
Keep yourself entertained with the games, or grab a drink at the bar! And if you’re feeling hungry, you can head over to the restaurant and grab a bite to eat.

Another amazing spot to see some stellar sunsets is Stone Mountain Park! Hike up to the top or take the Summit Skyride to get an overview of the whole city of Atlanta. Watch the sky turn colors and the buildings light up at night, all from the historic park in Stone Mountain, GA. There are also tons of special events that happen year round as well as attractions for the whole family to enjoy on your visit here.
One of our favorite events that takes place here is Stone Mountain Christmas. With festive music, dazzling Christmas lights, and spectacular shows, this is a must see event. They also host another huge, well known event— the Yellow Daisy Festival! There is plenty to see and do here, and we highly recommend taking full advantage of all attractions offered here while stopping to see the sunset.

Last, but definitely not least, is the Atlanta BeltLine This is a great spot to check out if you’re wanting to grab drinks or grab dinner while admiring the beautiful city skyline— not to mention its killer sunsets! You can even rent a scooter and ride down the BeltLine while enjoying the view if that’s more your style.
There are so many places to stop on the BeltLine to really be able to cherish the view. Our favorites include Estrella Rooftop if you want some amazing Spanish Tapas with the prettiest patio as well as New Realm Brewing if you’re wanting to grab a beer and look at the sky from the roof with a group of your best friends.
