The food at El Jefe Taqueria is simply unparalleled. The location has a huge range of different tacos that you can play around with, the most popular being the carne asada and al pastor. While this location is mostly known for its splendid tacos, the steak burrito is a local favorite that is often slept on and overlooked. Give it a try!

A neighborhood favorite paired with Jen Chan’s, this taco spot is not only infamous for its flour-wrapped delicacies but their ginger margarita is a smash hit as well. The service is notably above-average with servers regarded as welcoming and the prices are more than fair. If you’re looking for a chill ambiance and to get your taco fix, swing by Justacos!

Birria El Gordo is a taco spot that locals will gladly travel great distances in order to enjoy their menu variety such as crispy tacos coated in crimson sauce. You may be familiar with this location if you’re an Atlanta transplant from Texas or Illinois. Velvet Taco specializes in tacos, as evidenced by the fact that tacos make up the majority of the menu. There are several varieties available, including both traditional and non-traditional tacos. On their menu, they also have vegan and vegetarian alternatives! Brunch is now available all day, featuring a waffle tortilla-wrapped chicken & waffle taco! Yes, you read that correctly. A WAFFLE taco!

Locals who enjoy this taco spot intend to keep it hidden from the taco-loving majority. Don Sige Taqueria is praised by locals as the spot for some of the best tacos in ATL! If you’re feeling different, try their tortas or quesadillas. They’re just as yummy!

Slapping Tacos is owned by Chasity Hill, who originally resided in Chicago, Illinois. Her taco spot is most known for its specialty tacos named the “Wet Tacos.” The spot is often seen on TikTok, as residents of ATL label it as a hidden gem. Give Slapping Tacos a visit now!

If you’re in the city, Rreal Tacos is a great place to go! Rreal Tacos, conveniently located in Midtown, is a must-visit destination for a fast, delicious bite to eat. You can’t go wrong with any of the eight varieties of tacos available. There are also a plethora of delectable sides to select from! This is a simple, quick, and cost-effective solution that does not sacrifice food quality. They also have a vegetarian taco option on the menu!

Supreme Taco is a taco joint ran by two chefs by the name of Nhan Le and Duane Kulers. Located near Grant Park, the establishment offers to-go in the fashion of the west coast such as chicken and barbacoa tacos. If you’re feeling a bit hungrier, add one of their appetizers to your order like the churros!

Tuza has a diverse menu, but their taco selection is undoubtedly the most diverse! And with good reason: their tacos are fantastic! They provide a variety of meat selections as well as a vegetarian option for those of us who do not eat meat. Their menu is more straightforward, but when done properly, simplicity is never a bad thing!

The appropriately titled and family-owned El Ponce is attached to one of the best patios with the best view in Atlanta. Not only are locals huge fans of the views, but their taco plates with beans and rice are also fan favorites. If you’re wanting to keep your order strictly tacos only, then give their beef tacos on homemade tortillas a try!
