McGillin’s is one of our favorites for plenty of reasons, but one of the biggest ones is how long McGillin’s has been filling our pitchers – they opened their doors the year Abraham Lincoln was elected president, 1860. That’s shortly after the Liberty Bell cracked and long before City Hall was even built; that makes McGillin’s the oldest continuously operating tavern in Philadelphia, and one of the oldest taverns in the country. Even better – there’s plenty of TVs, beer and drink specials, and delicious food, that makes watching the game at McGillin’s a perfect way to spend a Sunday.
