Cow Creek Farm

Whether you’re a toddler or an adult who is still a kid deep down, Cow Creek Farm is fun for kids of all ages!  This Cattle farm specializes in the cutest Scottish Highland cattle, raising the healthiest, happiest, and fluffiest cows!  Sign up on their website for a tour of Cow Creek Farm.  It includes many feeding and photo opportunities, so everyone will have a picture to take home and savor the memories.

Dinosaur World

Dinosaur World is one of our favorite family focused theme parks in Tampa Bay.  This is an expansive park full of different exhibits, hands on experiences, and walking trails!  View over 150 life size dinosaur sculptures and facts you may have never learned.  The best part of the park has to be their U-Dig Fossil areas where you get to dig for fossils and even take one home!

Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum

The Railroad Museum in Plant City is a fantastic spot to visit with the family, even if you’re not a total train fanatic!  Here you can view a ton of gorgeous train memorabilia and learn about how the train industry was integral to Plant City’s early stages.  After making your way through the museums, check out their train viewing platform!  Here you can watch different trains pass you by and see what the museum is all about.

Edward Medard Regional Park

If you’re looking for a great park in Plant City, you need to check out Edward Medward Regional Park.  As one of Hillsborough Country’s largest regional parks, its a great park to get away and play team sports or take the dog!  Medard Park has a great disc golf course and beach volleyball courts. Plus, if you have a horse, they even have a 3 mile trail perfect for equestrians and hikers.

Metals and Nature

Not only is Metals and Nature a wrought iron store for home improvement and outdoor fixtures, but they also hav an amazing garden that you can visit!  You can find over two acres of winding oak trees and lush green land covered in statues, animals, and iron garden decorations.  During your stroll, you’ll find a koi fish pond, come across colorful parrots, and marvel at beautiful peacocks.   So next time your looking for a nice place to have a stroll, take a picnic basket and visit Metals and Nature for a relaxing time outdoors.

Florida Strawberry Festival

The Florida Strawberry Festival is one of the most beloved events in the Tampa Bay area!  The Strawberry Festival is an annual fair held in Plant City that celebrates the city’s famous crop.  Celebrate the strawberry with strawberry themed events and delicious desserts, like strawberry milkshakes and the best strawberry shortcake in the world!   

But it’s not just desserts here, they have thrilling rides, a huge ferris wheel, and the most delectable fried food stalls.  Next time the Strawberry Festival rolls in to town, you must come!

U-Pick at Keel Farms

Keel Farms is an extremely popular farm in Plant City!  Home to seasonal fruits and produce, this is one of our favorite spots to pick fresh fruit.  During every season, there is a weekly U-Pick where you and your kids can pick fresh fruit, like strawberries and blueberries!  Get their sweet and organically grown berries for your own snacking and cooking!

Parkesdale

Want to get out of the sunshine but still want to enjoy some amazing Plant City strawberries?  Head over to Parkesdale Market to go shopping for some fresh strawberries, citrus, and vegetables.  But they’re known for their sweet treats more than the healthy fruits!  Stop by Parkesdale for some seasonal strawberry shortcake and a strawberry milkshake like you’ve never had before – made with real strawberries!

Fancy Farms Market

Fancy Farms isn’t just your regular farm.  Visit for their outdoor patio area where you can snack on their delicious strawberry desserts in the cool air with a beautiful view of the farm.  Here you’ll find strawberry shortcake, milkshakes, strawberry cookies, and even strawberry bread!  Each of their desserts are made in-house daily, so you get the best flavor from fresh strawberries and fresh bakes.

Look for the 10 statues in downtown Plant City

If you love art or just want to have a fun tour of the city, you and your family will love to look for the 10 statues placed all around Downtown Plant City!  Can you find the Marilyn Monroe statue?  Each statue is almost lifelike and full of character, you’ll want to take a picture with each lifesized statue that you find!  As you go on your tour, there is plenty to discover in Downtown Plant City.

Plant City Farm and Flea Market

If you’re looking to get your family to help with some of the shopping chores, make it an event!  Check out the Plant City Farm & Flea Market, a weekly flea market in farmer-centric Plant City.  You’ll find some of the best deals here, as this spot also operates as a public wholesale farmers market!  Florida restaurants and vendors all flock to this market to get their fresh produce.  Get that same restaurant quality produce for your home!
