So you’re looking for the best place for a night out? There is no better place to be than Ybor City bars. Go bar and club hopping in one of Tampa Bay’s favorite towns, where you get a new experience every weekend!
Check out our master guide on the best Ybor City bars, then let us know which spot you are going to visit this weekend!
One of our favorite Ybor City bars is Double Decker, known as the best karaoke spot in town! The vibe at Double Decker is amazing – no lines, no cover, just wander in with your friends and enjoy the show. The service at the bar is great, with tons of space and affordable drinks. Around the bar there are high tables where you can cheer on the karaoke singers.
Even if you can’t sing, you need to look through the book of songs and get on stage – in fact, we encourage it more! It’s so much fun to do a duet with your friends and entertain the crowd. Or, watch from the balcony above!
Keeping on the theme of lively bars in Ybor City, Coyote Ugly is no exception. Don’t have money for a drink? At this popular bar, you can get a free shot just for showing off your moves by dancing on the bar. Entertain the partygoers and have that dream movie bar scene you’ve always wanted. It’s such a fun idea for a bachelor or bachelorette party!
Rock Brothers Brewing is one of the best hidden gems of Ybor City. This spot is a local craft microbrewery, serving up their own beer creations. Its interior is amazing, with tons of statues and band-themed décor. It creates a great vibe to hang out with friends in! Plus, after you’re done enjoying one of their house-made brews, you can head upstairs to The Attic for live music and concerts!
The Orpheum is a great place to visit on a night out if you love concerts. For over 15 years, this concert hall has hosted thousands of shows for the Tampa Bay area. Hosting new bands and amazing DJs, it’s always a solid spot for a great show!
We love that The Orpheum hosts local acts, highlighting the best musicians of the area. They also have a full bar so you don’t have to step out for drinks and you can keep the party going all night long.
An alcohol-free zone with a spooky theme, we’re totally in! The Spookeasy Lounge is a haunted kava bar, located above the Stone Soup Company in Ybor City. For this speakeasy lounge, you’ll have to enter through a bookshelf. They serve up calming botanical teas, kava, and coffee for you and your friends to hang out over. You can add flavors to your drink like a real cocktail, ranging from fruity to dessert tastes, like toasted marshmallow.
If you’re big on electronic music, you need to have a night out at The Ritz. At this concert venue, they have a huge EDM scene with DJs on the schedule every weekend. If you’re bored and looking for something to liven up the weekend, you need to check out their calendar filled with popular live musicians, rappers, and DJs performing every weekend!
For good drinks, food, and sports, head to the military-themed bar, Bad Monkey. This chill bar offers an amazing weekday happy hour on drinks and beer, plus plenty of local beer options to choose from.
Bad Monkey is a great spot to watch a game from, on one of their many televisions. If you’re bringing your crew, enjoy giant Jenga and other fun bar games!
Who could ever forget about The Castle, when talking about the best Ybor City bars? This multi-floor dance club is not for the faint of heart, as it is a goth themed club! You and your friends will love making your way through the club and seeing the many different performers livening up the establishment.
The Castle is so on-theme, the first floor looks like and is literally called “The Dungeon” – which is full of fun and surprises. Don’t worry! It’s not scary, it’s just unlike anywhere you have ever been.
Tangra is one of the newer nightclubs in Ybor City, but it has definitely won our hearts! This is one of our favorite clubs for a night out, because you get to experience all different types of music. On the first floor you get pop and rap hits, the second floor is Latin music all night long, and the rooftop bar is electronic music!
Need a drink? You won’t have to go too far here! Each floor has its own bar, so you can keep the party going ’til the morning.
Sometimes you just want to hang out without the hectic atmosphere of a lively club. If so, you need to add First Chance Last Chance to your list. This is a laid back bar with an intimate interior and a great outdoor courtyard.
Here’s a secret that you need to try! Spin the shot wheel at the courtyard bar out back. Whatever shot it lands on, you get 2 for $5! Share them with a friend or keep them for yourself.
One of the best Irish pubs in Tampa Bay is right in Ybor City. At James Joyce, you can get amazing Irish dishes like Shepherd’s Pie! While feasting, you can enjoy a beer and their great live music on weekends.
One of our favorite parts of James Joyce is that they’re open so late – closing time will be a long way away here! While partying, we recommend that you try the PB&J shots, they are delicious and strong!
