If weather permits, The River Walk is a Yinzer favorite. As you walk along the Allegheny River, you’ll pass some of Pittsburgh’s most beloved landmarks, such as Heinz Field and PNC Park. A stroll down The River Walk is a perfect start to a date night or even a day out with the kids!
Heinz Field serves primarily as the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers as well as the Pittsburgh Panthers College football team. You’ve got to check out the stadium with it’s iconic yellow seats and pierogi stands. If you’re lucky enough to pass Heinz Field on game day, you will hear the famous “Here We Go Steelers” chant from miles away and a field of yellow flags, also known as “The Terrible Towel.”
If you catch yourself looking for something to do on a spring or summer day, head on down to PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates! Grab a soft pretzel and a pop and watch the Pirates take on their opponent while you overlook the beautiful Pittsburgh skyline.
