Perfecting your coffee shop order is a big deal, and we know it can be hard to try new places for this reason. But, with Victory Coffee, Channelside’s coziest spot to grab a coffee, you have nothing to worry about! The incredibly sweet staff always greets you and makes sure that if you’re new, you understand the options.

Our order is a lavender oat milk iced latte on a slow day, a medium caramel latte, and a Lox Everything bagel sandwich if we’re hungry, or an iced Pistachio Latte when we’re craving something more smooth and sweet. If you’re looking to have tea, they have great tea-based drinks! This isn’t a spot we recommend if you’re in a hurry as this place is meant to be appreciated!

So, sit back and relax as your coffee is freshly brewed. Make sure to come with an empty stomach – try the Cuban toast, it’s AMAZING! You can’t go wrong with the tasty egg and cheese croissant. The best thing is that none of the food is pre-made, everything is prepared from scratch per order! Let them know if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences.

Pours at Greenwise

Believe it or not, Greenwise has a coffee bar! There are always great options at the bar named POURS, where you’ll find wine, beer, coffee, seltzers, kombucha, açai, and more! Whether you’re looking for cheese, soaps, or anything at all, make sure you order some coffee before you go. The best thing is that everything at the bar is super affordable – you can get one of the best cups of coffee in Channelside and Water Street for less than $5!

The whole point of POURS is to sit, relax, chat, and enjoy your choice of coffee. Our favorite thing to order here is 100% the café con leche, you can tell it’s done with so much love and care thanks to the amazing staff and coffee taste! The vibes and quality are immaculate. Next time you’re heading to Sparkman Wharf, or walking around the Riverwalk, step in to chill out for a little while.

Shortwave Coffee

One of our favorite spots to grab a coffee in Channelside and Water Street, for sure. It’s THE place to bring your laptop and get some work done. Probably because of how spacious and open it is, as well as how perfectly the natural sunlight blesses Shortwave Coffee. There are also plants and flower arrangements throughout the shop that draw you in instantly, incredibly strong WiFi, endless tables, and outlets. What’s not to love about this spot for coffee in Channelside and Water Street?

You might catch us ordering a decaf espresso, the lavender latte, or any of their signature iced drinks like the one we recently tried called Mint Mayday. If you’re a matcha lover, you HAVE to try the matcha latte with oat milk – seriously one of the best we’ve tried! This place is great for those of you that are looking to think outside the box and try new combos – we recommend having the cardamom or the strawberry basil latte.

Pro Tip: Definitely grab a bite, too, especially if you’re planning on getting some work done. Your taste buds won’t be disappointed with the honey chai tea cakes!

Gelato-Go

For a pet-friendly option for coffee in Channelside and Water Street, we can’t recommend Gelato-Go enough. Besides serving the smoothest and healthiest Italian gelato, they also offer the most authentic Italian coffee. Whether your family is Italian, or you just love the taste of Italy, this spot for coffee in Channelside and Water Street is a MUST-TRY.

We recommend the Americano or the Italian Espresso with any of their homemade pastry that is made fresh every day! If your doggie is friendly enough to the staff, your pup might get some free treats or pup ice cream! Obviously, once you’re there, you have to try the gelato. If you’re trying to eat healthier, don’t worry – there are no artificial flavorings! Also, when in doubts, you can ask for a free taste of the choices you’re torn between.

After receiving your order, you and your pup can sit at their outdoor seating!

For gelato, we recommend the classics: pistachio, bacio, and stracciatella!

Ginger Beard

The perfect spot for coffee in Channelside and Water Street if you’re looking for something fun and casual with your friends, plus there’s a pool table?! You can’t beat that! One of our favorite items is definitely the dirty chai with oat milk, which was VERY recommended by locals. Drip coffee with free refills makes this spot for coffee in Channelside and Water Street one of the top in the area.

We LOVE the cold nitro brew for a pick-me-up, and the chai latte! A good place for some quiet, fun, and even for work! Find multiple outlets on the bar and many others working throughout the coffee shop in the mornings.

Pro Tip: Ginger Beard means coffee by day, beer by night. It’s okay to come twice in a single day if it changes from morning to evening, right? We think so!

The Market at EDITION

This is certainly one of the prettiest spots to get coffee in Channelside and Water Street, hands down. If you’re craving sometime in nature, but for different reasons, you don’t seem to have the time, head to The Market! You’ll feel like you’re in a magical forest with fairy lights and bright-colored flowers. Both the food and the drinks are top-notch, and we can’t say enough nice things about the coffee.

Keep in mind, the coffee bar is open from 7:00am to 3:00pm. We LOVE their lattes, and macchiatos, and if you prefer to have some tea, we recommend the Turmeric Ginger for an immune-boost or the chamomile medley for some comfort.

Columbia Cafe

This is simply one of our favorite places in all of Tampa Bay, and one of our go-to spots for coffee in Channelside and Water Street without a doubt. Everything is so tasty, you’ll ask for seconds, and will want to take some home with you for later. The Columbia is a historic place that serves the most delicious and authentic Cuban dining. We can’t emphasize enough how GOOD the plantains, empanadas, and Cuban sandwiches are.

If you’re a seafood lover, we suggest crab croquettes, and for anyone looking to have the true taste of Cuban food, you can’t go wrong with the Gambas Al Ajillo.

We obviously have café con leche, but they also serve classic American coffee options, but we highly suggest you try the café con leche, you won’t regret it!
