Sip, sip, hooray. We love a nice cup of coffee to start our day. And you know, a few iced lattes in between for a pick-me-up! We’ve been spending time in the East Austin neighborhood, where tons of coffee shops have opened. And they’re not just regular ole’ coffee spots, they’re local and yummy. Check out our five favorite coffee shops in East Austin for your next cup of brew.
In a super hot spot, with everything that is popping up in the Plaza Saltillo area, you’ll find the often busy Weight Bros. Brew and Brew.
You come here for coffee, but stay to work or relax with friends. The vibes are very industrial, and you can get a cup of coffee, a beer, or even a sandwich if you’re hungry! It’s definitely a more than one-stop-shop.

Their motto is “Worth The Drive on 35,” and we totally agree.
For a taste of international coffee, head on over to Figure 8. This cute little coffee shop, off the beaten path on the Eastside, whips up coffee beans from Mexico, Colombia, and Peru, to name a few. Why make your daily Starbucks run when you can try a unique brew?
Here’s a spot you can wear pink, any day!
Revival is one of the newer coffee shops to come to the neighborhood, and we are so glad it’s here. Talk about an Instagrammable location. This coffee shop is the spot to go when you want to hear some good music and mingle. They often have market days to pass the time, but you can also post up with one of their local coffee or tea options and work inside their ultra pink shop.

Cartel Coffee Lab comes from out of town, but we sure are lucky they decided to open up one right here on East 6th!
Located in the Arrive hotel, you’ll find this small, bohemian coffee shop with access from the main road. Their coffee is delish, super strong, and will leave you wanting more. It’s also one of the quieter coffee shops in town, perfect for when you want just to sip and be zen.
Cenote is one of the more popular coffee shops in town, so they have two locations. Luckily, there’s one right off of 35, in East Austin!
This coffee shop gives of the tropical vibes you need just to be hidden for a while. Located in the middle of a ton of palm trees is this bright blue cafe. Not only can you get a strong cup of coffee here, perfect for working from one of their patio tables, but you can also have a delicious lunch. They have sandwiches, croissants, burgers, and tacos. The options are endless.
