There are so many traditional fall festivities happening in Houston. like OktoberFest, pumpkin patches, farmers’ markets, and more family-friendly fun! We’re sharing our fall favorites in Houston for (fingers crossed) cooler temperatures this season. What is first on your list for fall in Houston?
Fall in Houston hasn’t officially begun until pumpkin patches pop up everywhere around town and pumpkin spice lattes become the ultimate drink of choice. Embrace the fall season by visiting one of these great Pumpkin Patches with the kiddos or friends. From insta-worthy pics, unique attractions, good grub, cornfield mazes, and pick your own pumpkins, you can’t go wrong!
An annual traditional just a short drive outside of Houston, the Texas Renaissance Festival (aka RenFest) is a must-visit event that we look forward to every fall. It’s an excuse to dress up in costumes, walk around eating turkey legs and interacting with all the characters as if you’re living in medieval times.

Fall, food, and football; our favorite three ‘F’ words! Houston is known for its strong pride in sports and what better way to bring in the season than cheering on our teams! Whether you’re rooting for the Houston Texans or just want to be surrounded by sports fans, you definitely need a spot with good food, plenty of TVs, and a rowdy crowd. Each house is unique, so we suggest you visit them all… if you dare.
