”Sweet dreams are made of this…” is the song that plays in our head when thinking of one of our favorite dessert places, Mayday Ice Cream! Mayday Icecream has such wide variety of ice cream flavors to choose from that you are going to want to sample them all.

Our favorite is the coffee & donuts flavor and it even has chunks of donuts in it! How cool?!

And even though their delicious ice cream speaks for itself, the story behind the name makes them stand out even more! We have recently learned that Mayday Icecream is named in honor of some innovative fellow Americans who served our country in World War II. You can read more about their story here.

Dreamette Ice Cream

Dreamette is a sweet tooth’s DREAM! There is never a slow night at this walk-up ice cream stand! Their menu ranges from sundaes to dipped cones and so much more! Our favorite is the Reeses Cup Sundae or the chocolate dipped cone… be right back, on our way there now.🍦

Quick Tip: Make sure to bring cash if you are going to the Murray Hill location because it is cash only! They also just opened a new location in Atlantic Beach!

Kilwins is located in the St. Johns Town Center as well as St. Augustine! Kilwins was originally founded in 1947 by Don & Katy Kilwin in Petoskey, Michigan. This is another ice cream place where you are going to want to sample everything.

Our favorite desserts at Kilwins are their ice creams, and our flavor of choice is cookie dough! It doesn’t just stop at ice cream, they also have chocolate, fudge, caramel corn and so much more so make sure to check out their shop in the link below and enjoy one of the best dessert places in the 904!

One of their fun features is you can make your own unique flavor, it’s called “The Whitster.” You choose your flavor and whatever topping you want! Their toppings include customer favorites, candies, fruit, nuts, etc. making it one of the best dessert places in Jacksonville!

If you are wanting something to-go, they also offer take home freezer items. We saved the best fact for last… they also offer Doggie Sundaes for your furry friends!🐾

If you have ever been to Sweet Theory on a Saturday morning, you know the line is usually out the door! Our theory is that people wake up craving Sweet Theory.

What makes this one of the best dessert places in Jacksonville is that they  bake all of their items fresh daily  in small batches using all natural and organic ingredients! Daily offerings include cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, and biscuit sandwiches! They also have gluten free items including coffee cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, loaf cakes, and more!

Quick Tip: Before visiting, feel free to contact them to see how their product is holding out! They say that coming in early is the safest way to ensure you’ll have plenty to choose from! It’s just so good that they sell out so fast!
