One of the most well-known museums in Jacksonville, the Cummer Museum is your one-stop-shop for all things beautiful. Located in downtown Jacksonville, The Cummer is home to  over 5,000 works of art, sculpture garden, and even riverfront gardens. Take a walk through the gallery before heading outside to view their polished landscape, and even grab a bite to eat at the Cummer Café! No matter what you choose, there’s something for everyone at this incredible museum.

Have you ever been to a museum where you can touch things? While most museums would encourage you keep your hands to yourself, MOSH (Museum of Science and History) invites guests to experience their museum through hands-on interactive experiences. Take a walk through one of their many exhibits including Coastal Creatures, Native Plants, or Outer Space and learn about our world. This is one of the most immersive museums in Jax, so don’t be surprised if you’re there all day!

This ship, a Gearing Class destroyer with 18 battle stars is the most distinguished since World War II. The next time you’re in the mood to wander through the halls of a museum, head to the MOCA Jacksonville. MOCA has one of the most extensive collections of contemporary art of any museums in Jacksonville, with both a permanent collection as well as a selection of rotating exhibits to explore. Take a look at art of all mediums, from photography, paintings, sculpture, and new media, there’s always something to discover. Also, the exhibition in the Atrium is always changing to something colorful and unique, so be sure to check in for any updates! Our Recommendation: The Museum is free for UNF students and has free admission to the public on select days!
