The Tampa Riverwalk
The Tampa Riverwalk is a 2.6-mile-long trail on the Hillsborough River. Ride along the river to pass iconic Tampa spots like Armature Works, The Tampa Museum of Art, and Amalie Arena!
Our recommendation: If you’ve found yourself at the Riverwalk without your bike, there are coast bikes available for rent. Unwind at Four Green Fields and sip on Irish beer!

Bayshore Boulevard
A local landmark and a worldwide marvel! Being the longest sidewalk in the world, this is a place where the locals get their work out and tourists can enjoy the amazing view of the Bay.
Our recommendation: If you are looking to extend your ride past Bayshore Boulevard, this trail connects to the Tampa Riverwalk through the Platt Street Bridge.

It spans 10.5 miles to connect Tampa to Clearwater. This amazing bike trail bridge parallels the Courtney Campbell Causeway Bridge. Entering the trail, you’ll be surrounded by Ben T. Davis’s sandy beach and lush beach bushes.
Pro tip: For a laid-back spot, head to Pete & Shorty’s Iowa Bistro afterward! You can enjoy comfort foods like burgers, BBQ, sandwiches, and more.

Al Lopez Park
If you want to feel immersed in nature while you run, walk, or bike then you need to check out Al Lopez Park. It’s 1.2 miles long and so peaceful with beautiful views. You may even see some wildlife while you’re there!
Pro tip: Check out the old-school diner, Mom’s Place Restaurant, after visiting Al Lopez Park for breakfast!

Upper Tampa Bay Trail
Popular amongst Tampa hikers, this is also a great place for a long bike ride! You’ll be surrounded by overarching trees and ride over scattered wooden bridges.
Our recommendation: Visit The Grind Coffee Bar and Cafe before you go on the trail, and enjoy some tasty noodles at Doodle Noodle Bar afterward!
Follow a route along the Seddon Channel and enjoy the beautiful trail on Davis Islands. The houses are gorgeous and lush green grass gives a perfect view while on your ride.
Our recommendation: Bring a picnic basket, blankets, and food! Have a picnic and catch a sunset after you explore.

A beautiful 240-acre Hillsborough County-run park full of green, lakes, and wildlife! The trail is a mix of gravel, elevated boardwalks, and pavement where you can see snakes, turtles, gators, birds, and if you’re lucky, armadillos! $2 per vehicle to enter.
Our recommendation: This is a great place to bring your pups along. The park is full of shade, dog poop bags, and water fountains. Keep in mind that dogs aren’t allowed on the boardwalk trails – every other path is fine!

Vinoy Park is a stunning 11.6-acre park located on the downtown waterfront of St. Petersburg! You can explore the 3.9-mile route to experience water views, wildlife, and breathtaking sights.
Our recommendation: Once you’ve explored, you can visit the St. Pete Pier – a short drive away! If you need coffee, go to Paradeco Coffee Roasters.

Hillsborough River State Park
A popular 3,383-acre park where you can explore more than seven miles of trails! Stroll along the river, go camping, have a picnic, or enjoy the scenic landscapes.
Our recommendation: To make it an even more unforgettable experience, visit Crystal Springs after spending some time at the park. Swim in the beautiful natural spring!
Hillsborough River State Park
This 160-acre park is easily one of our favorite places to walk, bike, or run! The 2.25-mile-long hiking trail is perfect for any beginner and great for pups – it’s full of shade, and lots to smell and explore!

Pinellas Trail is 38.2 miles of gorgeous scenery and fun stops. This trail stretches from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg. This is a great place to bike with friends for a day, because of the many breweries and restaurants along the trail.
Our recommendation: You can grab Greek lunch at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs or hang out at 7venth Sun Brewery!
