Ella’s Americana Folk Art Cafe is the place to go in Seminole Heights and when it’s not crazy humid outside, you can enjoy their lovely patio that has plenty of outdoor seating. We suggest going there for brunch and staying a while. Try their “Bloody Ella,” a play on the classic brunch cocktail, a bloody Mary, that comes with a smoked rib on top! The C House is a fabulous eatery with a menu consisting of only items that begin with a “C.” Sip on champagne and snack on charcuterie outside on their spacious patio. The airy venue has plenty of outdoor seating making it the perfect place to eat around a table with a group or meet a friend for a few drinks at the outside bar. The patio is covered so it’s ideal for when you need some shade or even on a rainy day. And if you need another reason to love it, they have live music too!

When you show up at Front Porch & Bart’s Tavern you’re going to feel as if you’re walking into someone’s charming Victorian home. The converted historic house that’s now a restaurant offers inside dining but we love the outdoor seating options that are dog-friendly and have live music on the weekends! Take your pick and sit either on the porch or at the outside bar and tables located on the side of the house. They have a great drink selection and diverse menu—some of our top picks include their mussels appetizer and any of their burgers.

When the weather is right, the Independent is a great spot to visit in Seminole Heights for when you want to dine outdoors. Their outdoor seating area is perfect for those days that you want to drink some craft beer but your dog wants to tag along. We do have to warn you that everything on the menu looks amazing and it will be difficult to choose what to get— but their beer cheese with pretzels and mojo tacos are a couple of our personal favs! There is a significant selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes to choose from too.

Bodega is a delicious Cuban/Latin American restaurant in Seminole Heights! Order from their counter and take a seat on their open outdoor patio area. No questions asked, you need to try their Cuban sandwich…it is one of the BEST in town!
They also have refreshing smoothies on deck that are just divine. Eat, chill, play some shuffleboard then walk next door to Mandarin Heights for a few cocktails.

The repurposed gas station has successfully transformed into a fantastic family-friendly and dog-friendly hidden gem. They have fast service and an awesome selection of not only pizza but beer and wings too. When it comes to their wing flavors, the Sweet Thai Chili or Thai Peanut is the way to go!

Nebraska Mini Mart has easily become one of our favorite places in Seminole Heights with outdoor seating. Why? Because they not only have out-of-this-world food but they are basically an adult playground! Simply eat then play. Get competitive in some bocce ball, shuffleboard, or ping pong. When it comes to the menu, we are all about their shakes and burgers–they even have vegan/vegetarian options. Their entrees pair impeccably with any of their rotating beers on tap or kegged cocktails!
