Spring is just around the corner which means it’s finally strawberry picking season! Thankfully, the North Florida region is (strawberry)jam-packed with farms, so much so, that the state is actually the second leading producer of strawberries in the United States.
There are approximately 8,000 acres of strawberry fields in Florida and some of them even welcome guests. Here’s everything you need to know about going strawberry picking near Jacksonville!

Sweet Berries of Crawford Farms is truly one of the best places to go strawberry picking near Jacksonville. In addition to the U-Pick field, Crawford Farms also offers fresh fruits and vegetables for sale in their onsite store.

You can’t talk about strawberry picking near Jacksonville without mentioning Pappy’s Patch! Located roughly 2 hours from JAX, Pappy’s Patch is an old-school, family-owned farm perfect for making summer memories.
They only accept cash or check and do not have set picking hours. Please call or check Facebook for berry picking info!

What started as a pecan grove in 1916 has transformed into a beloved destination for strawberry picking. Brown’s Farm sits on over 500+ acres and welcomes guests into their fields beginning in mid-March and runs throughout spring.
In addition to the famed fruit, they also offer a store stocked with fresh produce, friendly service, and accept credit cards!

Time to road trip to Sorrento, Florida! Oak Haven Farms & Winery originally opened as a small strawberry farm in 1996 and has since more than doubled its size.
Over time, Oak Haven has added, “a country kitchen which offers u-roast hot dogs, soda and chips and home-style strawberry shortcakes, and ice cream sundaes WEEKENDS during the strawberry season (Late December-Mid March).”

Rogers Farm has provided Floridians with fun and laughter for over 30 years! Perfectly fixated just north of Gainesville (an hour south from Jacksonville), this farm not only offers U-Pick berries but also fresh, seasonal produce.

Sunday | 11AM–3PM
Last entry to the strawberry fields is 30 minutes prior to closing.

Located just across the Georgia/Florida border, Merck Farms is one of the best places to go strawberry picking near Jacksonville! With a mission of “sending the food straight from the farm to your table,” Merck is proud to offer U-Pick sessions to the surrounding community.
