Sweet Berries of Crawford Farms is truly one of the best places to go strawberry picking near Jacksonville. Beyond the fun of picking your own berries in their U-Pick field, they’ve got a great onsite store loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables. What really makes this place special is the genuine Southern hospitality and wonderful people who run it—they’ll make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Whether you’re filling your basket with strawberries or browsing the farm stand, you’ll find yourself smiling (just like the happy faces in the photo above!). It’s a visit that’ll stick with you!
You can’t talk about strawberry picking near Jacksonville without mentioning Pappy’s Patch! Located roughly 2 hours from JAX, this old-school, family-owned farm is perfect for making summer memories. They operate on a cash or check basis only, and since picking hours aren’t set, it’s best to call or check their Facebook page before heading out. Their season runs through April at just $4.00 per pound. It’s a true family-owned U-pick experience that captures the heart of strawberry picking!
What started as a pecan grove back in 1916 has blossomed into a beloved strawberry-picking destination. Sitting on over 500 acres, Brown’s Farm welcomes visitors into its expansive fields starting in mid-March and running throughout spring. Beyond the amazing strawberries, they’ve got a well-stocked store filled with fresh produce and offer friendly service with the convenience of accepting credit cards. Located just across the Georgia/Florida border, Merck Farms is one of the best places to go strawberry picking near Jacksonville! With a mission of getting fresh food straight from the farm to your table, Merck is proud to offer U-Pick sessions to the surrounding community. Since picking hours change daily, be sure to check their Facebook page before you head out to make sure everything’s ready for your visit!
Crossroads Farm & Apiary is a charming, family-owned farm in beautiful North Florida where strawberry picking starts in February! Beyond U-pick strawberries, they offer fresh honey, a fun fall festival, and even honeybee pollination and bee sales. Their onsite menu features delicious treats like strawberry lemonade, strawberry shortcake, and homemade strawberry bread, plus they stock fresh veggies and local crafts in their farm store. U-pick strawberries are $4.00/lb, with pre-picked available at $4.50/lb. There’s no entry or parking fee, and they provide buckets and bags for your haul. Just remember to call ahead to confirm hours and availability, and bring cash and water. Cards and cash are both accepted!
Blu By U Farm is so much more than just blueberries! This family-owned agritourism farm offers U-pick blueberries plus a covered barn, picnic area, petting zoo with adorable donkeys, alpacas, goats, and chickens. Kids will love the sandbox, parachute games, and volleyball. The charming country store is stocked with local honey, jams, soaps, candles, peanut butter, hot sauces, and handmade goodies—everything sourced from the community. Come for the blueberries, stay for the smiles and the memories you’ll make!
HNH Blueberry Farm in Palatka is a charming spot for U-pick blueberries at just $3.25 per pound—fair warning, you might end up picking way more than planned! The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it perfect for families or friends looking for some farm fun. Both card and cash are accepted. Parking can get tight on busy weekends, but overflow parking is available in the back lot. The fields can get muddy after rain, so dress accordingly. They often have fresh tomatoes, onions, and other seasonal produce too. Check their Facebook page for current hours and availability. With delicious blueberries and genuine farm fun, it’s absolutely worth a visit—just remember the season is limited!
Wesley Wells Farm lets you pick your own fresh produce straight from the field—better than any farmers market! Located in northeast Florida, their U-pick fields are open seasonally in fall, winter, and spring. They’re typically open Saturdays from 9 am–12 pm, but always call ahead since weather can affect hours. They grow strawberries (late December through March), sweet corn, green beans, pumpkins, and seasonal produce that varies year to year.
