They’re also open until midnight, so you can fuel that late-night caffeine craving and sip it on their vintage couch. We love everything about this place, especially the little flamingos on the coffee cups!

Community Loaves

Community Loaves is a vegan-friendly bakery that started in 2011 as an organic bike-delivered subscription bakery. How cool! They also have yummy coffee, and the atmosphere is very inviting and down-to-earth. Their avocado toast on garlic bread is a popular choice, and you can never go wrong with any of their lattes or teas.

Buchner’s Bierhalle is a German bar located in the heart of Murray Hill and is a favorite among many of us in Jacksonville. To get inside, you have to enter through Blackhat Vapor. Once you are inside, enjoy up to 13 German beers on draft and different wines from Germany, Italy, France, and Spain! You can drink around the world! That’s not even the best part. They have a wide variety of German foods to choose from as well as regular bar snacks. It’s the perfect place for trying something new!

Moon River Pizza

Pizza please! Moon River Pizza is one of Murray Hill’s trendier places, and we can’t get enough of it. They have a huge variety of different pizzas you can try – even some that are dairy-free and vegan-friendly! Their pizza dough is handmade and rolled, which makes it all the better. It’s a very fun and unique spot and one of the many places that complement Murray Hill’s authentic vibe.

Bold Birds

There’s never a bad time for some fried chicken, and Bold Birds has something for everyone! We recommend trying the infamous Hughes’ Hot Chicken Sandwich. If spicy isn’t your thing, don’t worry; you can choose your heat level. For anyone who likes chicken and waffles, they have that as well! No matter what you choose from their delicious menu, be prepared to feel the burn!

Calling all vegans and vegetarians! We would never forget about you! Murray Hillbilly is southern comfort food with a vegan twist. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves up the most outstanding-looking dishes; you wouldn’t even believe us if we told you it was all plant-based! Try one of their signature sandwiches, get some mac and cheese, or try the BS burger! No matter what you choose, you truly can’t go wrong at the Murray Hillbilly!

Wood Fired Up Pizza

Let’s fire up a night to remember with mouthwatering wood-fired pizza and sensational refreshments at Wood Fired Up Pizza! Located in Murray Hill, The Walrus is a must-visit vegan restaurant with a 70s flair and delicious smoothies, juices, and sandwiches! When you walk in, you’re immediately greeted by vibrant colors, beautiful murals, and a quirky but fun atmosphere. You can play board games while you wait on your food, or enjoy the vibes.

Dreamette

Dreamette is a walk-up ice cream shop that has been around since 1948. It’s cash-only and delicious-only.
They are known for their yummy dipped cones, and they also have more cold treats. We recommend the Reese’s Sundae or the classic chocolate-dipped cone!

Murray Hill Theatre is a faith-based live music venue. This is a family-friendly place for live entertainment and art. This is also a historic landmark that opened in 1948 as a movie theatre! Plus, they play local bands at least once a month.

You should definitely check out the band Side Creek! They play at Murray Hill Theatre very often and are a well-known local band.

Axe Champs

Axe Champs is new to Murray Hill, and we are so glad they joined the neighborhood. You get to throw sharp objects at the walls while jamming to your choice of music with friends or family! Your coach will teach you all the basics as well as lead some awesome games to bring out your competitive side. Did we mention they offer alcohol as well?! You definitely need to add axe throwing to your night out.
