Exploring 7th Avenue is one of the best things to do in Ybor, but also quite the walk. So make sure you wear your walking shoes to see all of the restaurants, bars, and shops they have to offer!
From historic cigar factories to colorful murals, Ybor City has lots of photo-worthy spots. If you're on a ghost tour or bar crawl, make sure to ask your tour guide if it's okay to take photos!
If you want a quick way around Ybor City take the streetcar (it's free)! Should you choose to drink, please be responsible, order a ride-share, or have a designated driver if you're out past streetcar hours (2:00 am Fri/Sat, 11 pm Sun-Thurs).

You will see wild chickens crossing the road quite a bit in Ybor City Historic District! They are actually decedents of chickens from over 100 years ago that lived in the backyards of Ybor’s early residents.
On the weekends, most bars and clubs close at 3AM, the latest in Ybor City. The main street, 7th Ave, is closed off at this time so if you order a ride-share be sure to make your pickup location on another street.
NO WAY! Ybor may be popular for its going-out scene but it’s also full of wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions!

Every first Friday of the month at The Castle, down below in the Dungeon, they host an 80’s night. Doors open at 10:30pm so we recommend coming a bit earlier to avoid the line.
Order some inexpensive drinks, put in a song request or two, and chill with your friends or make new ones.

Ybor’s renown 7th Ave is a must if you’re visiting the historic district. Walk along the strip and explore all the unforgettable shops and restaurants. Search for some vintage gems at La France and dress like the French in the 20th century. If you’re a metaphysical girlie journey into Agora and browse their gorgeous collection of glass lamps and crystal slabs.
Working up an appetite? Stop by 7th + Grove for some good ol’ southern comfort food. If you’re craving Italian instead, visit Carmine’s Restaurant. If you are looking for a traditional Ybor spot with some good Cuban sandwiches, you gotta eat at Gaspar’s Grotto.

Wake up bright and early and make your way to the Blind Tiger Cafe and order a ‘couple’ of Lavender Matcha Lattes ‘paired’ with some breakfast tacos! If you’re more into sweet over savory in the morning, order an acai bowl, we recommend the Nut your Average!
Then, take a short walk to Ybor’s Centennial Park and enjoy the presence of the chickens. All the hens, roosters, and little baby chicks your heart could imagine.
Continue past the park to the Ybor Museum! You are in the historic district of Ybor, so hopefully you both enjoy a short history session.
After a half hour museum walk-through, you can head towards 7th avenue for a self-guided walking tour. Depending on your interests, you can stop at an oddities shop, a smoke shop, or even a boutique or two.
At the end of 7th avenue is our recommended stop for lunch, Gaspar’s Grotto. With cats and chickens greeting you, you know you’re in the right spot. Start with a hot basket of fresh Cuban Bread, and Devil Crab!
Start your date night around 6pm at the Tampa Brewing Company and enjoy some house made brews and finger foods. And if you happen to enjoy a house brew, you can buy a 6-pack to bring home!
Then, around 7:30pm, step outside to meet your tour guide for the Nightly Spirits Ghost Tour! You’ll hear of haunted tales while you pub crawl through some of Tampa’s most haunted bars.
At 10:30pm the Castle doors will open and you’ll be inside one of your tour stops! This haunted and Gothic club has themed nights so try to plan your date on event days such as 70’s night or the vampire ball.

This events venue opened in 1917 and has been renovated various times, going from a silent movie theatre to a playhouse, nightclub, and now a premier concert venue.

-Wear comfy shoes, it’s a standing room only
-Carry light, bring your ID and main credit card, and some cash
