2. The Mosh Museum

Summer break calls for more days spent at the MOSH – Museum of Science and History! This museum is the perfect place to bring the whole family during the hot summer months for some educational learning!

The museum hosts a variety of events and programs to suit any kiddos interests! There is even a summer camp for kids that want to spend the whole summer having fun, hanging out, and discovering!

8. Catty Shack Ranch Night Feedings

While cats lounge around during the day in the sun…at night all the wild comes out! Take your family to one of the Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary’s night feedings for one of the most heart-pounding dinners you’ll witness.

Catty Shack volunteers dish out over a hundred pounds of raw chicken and meat to these very hungry felines and they bring out the big claws to get it!

9. iFly Indoor Skydiving Flight School

Kids are dreamers, and nothing feels better than making your kids’ dreams come true! At iFly indoor skydiving, your little superhero can learn how to fly at flight school!

With 1-on-1 coaching from a flight instructor, kids can have a safe, indoor skydiving experience that will make them feel like they’re flying.  iFly uses a wind tunnel to simulate free-falling conditions. Once they get the basics down, they can learn how to manipulate their bodies to go up and down in the air.

Each year, University of North Florida opens their campus to the children of the Jacksonville area with their youth camps! They have a whole range of camps so every kid can choose a camp that they can enjoy! This year they are offering up academic, culture, athletic, and even recreation camps to enjoy throughout the summer! These camps are a great way to keep the kids active and social through the summer months and let them further themselves in their chosen interests!

15. Body Mind Performance LLC Kid's Camp

If your kid loves sports and wants to further their game or just play through the summer, check out Body Performance LLC Kid’s Camp! Body Mind Performance LLC is the only camp in Jacksonville to offer soccer, strength and mindset training as part of their full day indoor camp throughout June. 

The camp is run by Emily who is a former Chelsea Ladies Soccer Player and has been a private soccer coach for years and is now opening up her training to children ages seven to 16 through a camp that teaches soccer, strength, and mindset training, all of which are important for young athletes and makes for a great summertime activity.
