We started our day at the Tarpon Springs Aquarium! We checked out a live show, fed some animals, and even made friends with a tortoise named Pebbles!
Next, we took a free tasting tour at the Tarpon Springs Distillery! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, and we learned so many new things about their distillery and spirits.
Checking out the Sponge Docks was one of our favorite stops of the day! There are so many different unique shops, restaurants, and bars to check out. We ended the day with dinner at Hellas Restaurants & Bakery, and you can’t come here without getting the saganaki! Who says no to flaming cheese?!
As an homage to the Greek sponge divers who settled in Tarpon Springs in the early 1900s, enjoy one of the many Greek eateries that line the waterfront Dodecanese Boulevard.
Pack your suit, sunscreen, and head to Fred Howard Park or Sunset Beach for a relaxing beach day. Maybe even bring a book, because these beaches are quiet and beloved by the locals!
